In extreme cases, men with excess testosterone can develop noncancerous testicular or adrenal tumors. Also, if high testosterone is not addressed it can raise “bad” cholesterol levels which can lead to cardiovascular disease.
The most common cause of high testosterone in men can be hormone therapy or taking too many testosterone supplements.
Ideally, medication is not the best approach to treating concerns like high testosterone. The reason being is that it is not treating the root cause.
